He’s built design systems from the ground up at Lyssna and Coassemble, and cares about the details: clear patterns, strong visual direction and processes that help teams deliver consistent, high-quality work.

Lately he’s been exploring how AI fits into design work, from making design systems agentic to using design agents to raise his own PRs.

Before moving into product, he spent years in branding, at FutureBrand in Melbourne and running his own agencies, Pennant and Shorthand. That background shapes how he approaches product work, especially how a brand lives and is expressed within a product.

He lives with his wife Amanda and their pup Ripley (named after Alien).
